Impulse Group Miami was established in December 2021 to connect, empower, and support our South Florida community with spaces to promote mental/sexual health and enhance knowledge and resources for our gay men in need. We cultivate partnerships and establish relationships throughout our community to create spaces that embrace our community.

This documentary is a celebration of our global LGBTQ+ family—capturing our voices, our vision, and our victories. From heartfelt conversations to bold activism, from joyful celebration to powerful learning moments, this piece reflects who we are, why we fight, and what unites us.

    Welcome to our page! I'm Kev, a High School Spanish teacher and have been in Miami 6 years now. I joined Impulse in 2023 to create connections and build community among LGBTQ+ people. I'm a huge gamer, practicer of yoga, love growing tropical and exotic plants and roller skating in my free time. As the Advocacy Director, I want to use my platform to bring people together, and create a safe space for ALL people where they feel like they can be a part of something larger. My goal is to create positive change in our communities where we can build up and support each other.

    I’m a multidisciplinary artist, creative consultant, and cultural curator based in South Florida. My work explores Afro-futurism, healing, and ancestral memory through mixed media. I’m currently showing at Island SPACE Caribbean Museum, a Bailey Contemporary Arts AIR alum, and a member of ArtUnited.

    I’m passionate about creating cultural spaces for the LGBTQ+ community and using art to bridge gaps in mental health and self-healing.

    Fun fact: I love to dance when no one’s watching—just feeling the music and letting my body chill and flow.

    I have been in the HIV/STI field going on 12 years , HIV Case Management currently. I was born and raised in Miami , Fl. The black panther is my favorite animal. I identify with all of their qualities ( mystery, protection, dominance and strength). I’m interested in IMPULSE because it’s an organization designed to reach men through non traditional ways ( party with a purpose ) Hopefully my presence will add to the greatness of the organization.
